Exciting News!

The project team are currently investigating opportunities to produce a data recording Application for iPhone and Android phones and tablets and also a data recording website! This app will be freely available and allow wildlife enthusiasts to record sightings of protected species within the Solent and beyond! Your data will feed into this project and help shape future management of key sites along our coastline and inland.

Further information will be announced in the future!

Note- This project is not for profit and data collected would be shared publicly. The App that will be created will benefit recording throughout the project and beyond!

Welcome to the Solent Bird Movement project blog!

Welcome to the new project blog for 2 new environmental projects being delivered in the Solent. These projectsaim to improve our existing knowledge of how NATURA 2000 species are moving around the Solent and identifying the sites which play a pivotal role. Through this study we hope to guide future planning for the region and identify new sites which could support these important bird species in the future.
